These bars has much easier to swallow, softer, and easier to take in on those long bike rides. The Fruit + Nut mix is very well balanced that make these very delicious. Newtons have defienetly come onto the triathlon scene especially with athletes like Craig Alexander and Michellie Jones being sponsored by them. No wonder with every triathlon we go to more and more athletes are showing up with these great looking kicks. Pearl Izumi is not new to the triathlon scene and they know what a triathlete is looking for. The Pearl Izumi Tri Octane are light, stiff, and anatomically correct. Did I also mention looks great as well? The Tri Octane has a one piece Clarino Rovenica Upper with Direct Vent Technology that offers minimum weight and maximum breathability. Cooling and draining is no problem with these shoes. You will be paying top dollar for these shoes but the comfort, look, and “make sense” approach that Pearl Izumi took to design this shoes should command the higher price.

So what is a chain catcher? Simply put you need to get a Token Chain Drop Catcher! I’m rather surprised that most bikes don’t come standard with one of these. A chain catcher will prevent the chain from dropping off the small ring and onto the frame. If the chain is about to slide off the small ring, it hits the chain catcher, which pushes the chain back onto the ring. This saves time, keeps your hands clean, lessens frame damage especially if you have a carbon frame, and could very well salvage your chances of winning a race! Very simple to attach to the front derailleur and next to the small chainring. It’s cheap to get and easy to install so their should be no excuse. Buy it!
